WEIGHT OF DIGIT IN DECIMAL

The position of each digits in a decimal number indicates the weight which is assigned to the digit. By weight we mean as to how much that digit can contribute in the overall value of the number.

For Example:

Express the decimal number “58” as a sum of the value of each digit.

SOLUTION:

 In this question the digit 5 has a weight of 10 (10) as indicate by its position. The digit 8 has a weight of 1(10); as indicated by its position.
